Running a homestay where guests feel at home in the mountains has always been the retirement plan for Paul & Joya, who have been married for almost 40 years. It was during the lockdown that the couple decided to open their rustic wooden cottage to guests, where they have resided for over a decade.Joys at Natadol is the creation of Paul Abraham, the original architect, and Joya, who transformed it into a spectacular cozy home offering a 180° view of the Himalayan peaks. Together with their sons David & Daniel, and their two furry companions - Mr. Don & Choti - they run the homestay. David usually takes guests out for walks in the village.The bedrooms here overlook the Nanda Devi Peak, and the bathrooms are adorned with lovely skylights allowing natural light to pass through.Throughout the year, the landscape undergoes changes in its beauty. Summers are full of fruit blossoms, monsoons bring clouds into the bedrooms, and winter offers a spectacular view of the Himalayas. Expect a joyful stay at Joys at Natadol with game nights & musical evenings with the family, Paul’s storytelling over dinner, and Joya's delectable home-cooked meals.
They offer 7 bedrooms for the guests. 4 bedrooms upstairs in the hillside main unit where the hosts occupy the ground floor. 3 bedrooms in the adjoining unit with a wheelchair friendly room on the ground floor & 2 bedrooms on the first floor sharing a spacious balcony overlooking the hills.
These spacious rooms with an attic space, overlooking the mountains can accommodate up to 4 persons.
